Product Introduction
The TPS82150 is a 17V-input, 1A step-down converter MicroSiP™ power module optimized to combine the advantages of a small solution size and high efficiency. This module integrates a synchronous step-down converter and an inductor, which simplifies the design, reduces the number of external components, and saves printed circuit board (PCB) area. The device is housed in a compact, low-profile package suitable for automatic assembly using standard surface-mount equipment. To maximize efficiency, the converter operates in pulse-width modulation (PWM) mode at a nominal switching frequency of 2.0MHz and automatically enters an energy-saving operating mode under light load current conditions. In the energy-saving mode, the device has a typical quiescent operating current of 20μA. With the DCS-Control™ topology, the device offers excellent load transient performance and precise output voltage regulation.
