The TPS7A52 is a low-noise (4.4μV_RMS), low-dropout (LDO) linear regulator capable of delivering 2A with a maximum dropout of only 125mV. The output voltage is adjustable from 0.8V to 5.2V via an external resistor divider.
The TPS7A52 combines low noise (4.4μV_RMS), high PSRR, and high output current capability, making it ideal for powering noise-sensitive components in high-speed communications, video, medical, or test and measurement applications. Its high performance in suppressing power supply-induced phase noise and clock jitter makes it well suited for powering high-performance SerDes, ADC, and DAC devices. The combination of high performance and output capability up to 5.2V makes it particularly attractive for RF amplifier applications.
For digital loads requiring low-input and low-output (LILO) voltage operation — such as ASICs, FPGAs, and DSPs — the TPS7A52 delivers exceptional system performance through its high accuracy (0.75% over load and temperature range), remote sense capability, excellent transient response, and soft-start functionality.
As an adjustable regulator, the TPS7A52 enables versatile designs, making it suitable for both analog loads such as VCOs, ADCs, DACs, and imaging sensors, as well as digital loads such as SerDes, FPGAs, and DSPs.
