Product Introduction
The TPS62850x is a family of pin-to-pin compatible, easy-to-use, high-efficiency synchronous step-down DC/DC converters rated at 1A, 2A (continuous), and 3A (peak). Based on a peak current mode control topology, the low-resistance switches support up to 2A continuous output current and 3A peak current. The switching frequency is externally adjustable from 1.8MHz to 4MHz and can be synchronized to an external clock within this frequency range. In both PWM and PFM modes, the TPS62850x automatically enters a power-save mode at light loads to maintain high efficiency across the full load range. In PWM mode, the TPS62850x provides 1% output voltage accuracy, enabling the design of power supplies with high output voltage precision to meet the stringent supply voltage requirements of digital processors and FPGAs. The TPS62850x is available in an 8-pin 1.6mm×2.1mm S07583 package.
