The TPS2660x devices are a series of compact, high-voltage electronic fuses with a rich set of features and a comprehensive suite of protection functions. The wide power supply input range of 4.2V to 60V enables control of many commonly used DC bus voltages. The devices can withstand and protect loads powered by positive and negative power supplies up to ±60V. The integrated back-to-back FETs provide reverse current blocking, making the devices well-suited for systems that require maintaining the output voltage during power failures and under-voltage conditions. The devices also offer many adjustable functions to provide load, power supply, and device protection, including overcurrent protection, output slew rate control, overvoltage protection, and under-voltage protection. The reliable internal protection control module and high voltage tolerance of the TPS2660x help simplify system design for surge protection. With the shutdown pin, the internal FETs can be externally controlled to enable/disable, and the device can be placed in a low-current shutdown mode. To enable system status monitoring and downstream load control, the devices provide fault and precision current monitoring outputs. The MODE pin facilitates flexible configuration of the device among three current limit fault responses (circuit breaker mode, latch mode, and auto-retry mode). The devices are available in a 5mm×4.4mm, 16-pin HTSSOP package and a 5mm×4mm, 24-pin VQFN package; they are rated for a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
