Product Introduction
The TLV6003 is a nanopower op amp consuming only 980nA per channel while offering an ultra-low maximum offset voltage. Reverse battery protection safeguards the amplifier against excessive current caused by improper battery installation. In harsh environments, the input voltage can exceed the positive supply rail by 5V without damaging the device.
The combination of low supply current and low input bias current allows this device to be used with high series resistance input sources such as PIR motion detectors and carbon monoxide sensors. DC accuracy is maintained with a low maximum offset voltage of 550μV (25°C), a typical CMRR of 120dB, and a minimum open-loop gain of 112dB (2.7V).
The maximum rated operating supply voltage is 2.5V to 16V, with electrical characteristics specified at 2.7V, 5V, and 15V. The 2.5V operating voltage makes this device compatible with lithium-ion battery-powered systems, making the TLV6003 an ideal choice for input signal gain and buffering for low-power microcontrollers such as TI's MSP430.
The TLV6003 is available in a compact SOT-23 package.
