TDSEMIC223 is a dedicated single-key capacitive touch sensor IC. It employs the latest generation of charge detection technology, determining finger proximity or touch by measuring the charge level generated between the operator's finger and the touch pad. The design contains no mechanical components, eliminating wear and tear. The sensing element can be placed behind any insulating layer (such as glass or plastic), making it ideal for environmentally sealed keypads. Panel patterns can be freely designed with unrestricted key size and shape, and can incorporate characters, logos, transparent windows, and other elements — achieving an aesthetically modern appearance that is durable, fade-resistant, and deformation-proof. It fundamentally overcomes the limitations of traditional metal or mechanical panels, offering exceptional flexibility in reliability and aesthetic design. It can directly replace existing conventional panels (such as metal keypads, membrane keypads, and conductive rubber keypads) with no modifications required to existing programs. The product features minimal peripheral components, low cost, and low power consumption.
