Product Introduction
CH340 is a USB bus conversion IC that enables USB-to-serial or USB-to-parallel port functionality. In serial port mode, the IC provides standard MODEM control signals, allowing expansion of asynchronous serial ports on computers or direct upgrade of conventional serial port devices to the USB bus.

- Full-speed USB device interface, compatible with USB V2.0
- Emulates standard serial port for upgrading legacy serial peripherals or adding extra serial ports via USB
- Hardware full-duplex serial port with built-in transceiver buffer, supporting baud rates from 50bps to 2Mbps
- Supports commonly used MODEM control signals: RTS, DTR, DCD, RI, DSR, CTS
- RS232, RS485, RS422 interfaces available via external level-shifting devices
- CH340R supports IrDA SIR infrared communication, baud rates from 2400bps to 115200bps
- Built-in firmware, software-compatible with CH341; CH341 VCP driver directly applicable
- Supports 5V and 3.3V supply voltage
- CH340C/N/K/E/X/B with integrated clock, no external crystal required; CH340B also integrates EEPROM for serial number configuration
- Available in SOP-16, SOP-8, SSOP-20, ESSOP-10, MSOP-10 lead-free packages, RoHS compliant
