CH340 is a USB bus conversion IC that enables USB-to-serial or USB-to-parallel port functionality. In serial port mode, the IC provides standard MODEM control signals, allowing expansion of asynchronous serial ports on computers or direct upgrade of conventional serial port devices to the USB bus.

- CH340C/N/K/E/X/B with integrated clock, no external crystal required; CH340B also integrates EEPROM for serial number configuration
