Product Introduction
ATL431 and ATL432 are three-terminal adjustable shunt regulators that meet specified thermal stability requirements across applicable automotive, commercial, and industrial temperature ranges. Both regulators allow the output voltage to be set to any value from Vref (approximately 2.5V) to 36V using two external resistors. The typical output impedance is 0.05Ω. The active output circuitry of these devices offers excellent conduction characteristics, making them ideal replacements for Zener diodes in many applications, such as on-board regulators, adjustable power supplies, and switching power supplies.
The ATL43X features a cathode current range more than 20 times wider than its predecessor, the TL43X. Stability has also been improved to support a broader range of load capacitance types and values.
The ATL431 and ATL432 are functionally identical, differing only in pinout and ordering part numbers. The ATL43X is available in two grades, A and B, with initial tolerances of 1% and 0.5% respectively at 25°C. In addition, both devices exhibit low output temperature drift, ensuring excellent stability across the entire temperature range.
ATL43xxI devices are rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C; ATL43xxQ devices are rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
