Product Introduction
The ADuM5210/ADuM5211/ADuM5212 are dual-channel digital isolators with an integrated isoPower isolated DC/DC converter. Using iCoupler technology, they provide a regulated isolated power supply adjustable between 3.15 V and 5.25 V. The input supply voltage can be slightly below or significantly above the required output voltage.
In low-power isolated designs, the ADuM5210/ADuM5211/ADuM5212 eliminate the need for a separate isolated DC/DC converter. By leveraging iCoupler chip-scale transformer technology, both logic signals and the DC/DC converter's magnetic components are isolated, delivering a compact, fully isolated solution.
isoPower uses high-frequency switching elements to transfer power through its transformer. Special care must be taken when designing the PCB layout to ensure compliance with applicable radiated emissions standards.
