Product Introduction
The ADG5408/ADG5409 are monolithic CMOS analog multiplexers featuring 8 single-ended channels and 4 differential channels, respectively. The ADG5408 switches one of 8 inputs to a common output, as determined by a 3-bit binary address on lines A0, A1, and A2. The ADG5409 switches one of 4 differential inputs to a common differential output, as determined by a 2-bit binary address on lines A0 and A1.
Both devices provide an EN input for enabling or disabling the device. When EN is deasserted, all channels are switched off. The on-resistance profile is very flat across the full analog input range, ensuring excellent linearity and low distortion when switching audio signals. The high switching speed also makes these devices suitable for video signal switching applications.
When on, each switch conducts equally in both directions, and the input signal range extends to the supply voltage range. In the off condition, signal levels equal to the supply voltage are blocked.
The ADG5408/ADG5409 have no VL pin; the logic supply is generated internally by an on-chip voltage generator.

- Single-supply operation. For unipolar analog signal applications, a single-rail supply up to 40 V can be used
- 3 V logic-compatible digital inputs: VINH = 2.0 V, ΔVINL = 0.8 V
- No VL logic supply required
